1. Who we are
GenRound is operated for the GenRound service at genrounds.wordentechnical.co.uk. For privacy questions, use the contact form.
2. Information we collect
- Account details such as name, email address, password hash, email verification status, and account timestamps.
- Security data such as IP addresses, failed login/rate-limit records, blocked account status, and Cloudflare Turnstile verification results.
- Event data such as event names, locations, dates, crew membership, invites, join codes, generator details, checks, refuel logs, route checks, comments, and settings.
- Technical data needed to run the service, such as session cookies and server logs.
3. Why we use this information
- To create accounts, verify email addresses, and manage secure access.
- To provide event dashboards, generator checks, crew access, route checks, refuel logs, and reporting.
- To send service emails such as verification emails and event invites.
- To protect the service from spam, abuse, unauthorised access, and security threats.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve GenRound.
4. Lawful bases
We process account and event information to provide the GenRound service requested by users and event managers. We also process security, audit, and anti-abuse information for legitimate interests in keeping the service safe and reliable.
5. Cookies and local storage
GenRound uses a session cookie to keep users logged in. The GenCheck and RouteCheck features may also use browser local storage or service worker storage so checks can continue during poor connectivity and upload when the connection returns.
6. Sharing information
Event information is shared with users who have access to the relevant event. We may use trusted providers for hosting, email delivery, and bot protection. We do not sell personal information.
7. Retention
We keep account and event information while it is needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve issues, and protect the system. Admin tools may be used to delete users, events, pending invites, and stale unverified accounts.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to use of your personal information. You can use the contact form to make a request.
9. Complaints
If you have concerns about how your personal information is handled, please contact us first. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
